Join the ACA

If you would like to join the Atheist Community of Austin, please complete the form below. Membership entitles you to vote on issues concerning the Atheist Community of Austin but is not required to attend social events. Individual membership fees are:

$30.00 per year for an individual
$15.00 per year for students and retirees
$45.00 per year for families

Our membership year does not begin until the 1st of March. New memberships are prorated by quarter, so if you are joining in:

March-May, pay 100%
June-August, pay 75%
September-November, pay 50%
December-February, pay 25%

Any extra money you give the ACA will be considered a donation to the general fund. Once you are accepted as a member, you will be able to vote on all issues brought before the membership as soon as payment is received. Please be aware we only extend voting privileges to members 15 years and older.

The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote atheist viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals. I affirm that I am without belief in any god and that I have read and agree with the purpose of the Atheist Community of Austin as stated above.

I would like a printed copy of the newsletter mailed to me via the postal service. Due to the extra postage and special handling, newsletters are not sent out of the US. Note that the newsletter is always available in electronic form (PDF) on our web site.

I am 18 years old or older. (If you are not yet 18, we will require a consent form signed by your guardian.)
Membership Levels
Individual Membership - $30.00 per year, prorated at $7.50 per quarter for new members. This level is available to everyone, although if you are not 18 years old we will require a signed parental consent form before accepting payment. Student/Retired Membership - $15.00 per year, prorated at $3.75 per quarter for new members. We may request a copy of your student ID or proof of age. Family Membership - $45.00 per year, prorated at $11.25 per quarter for new members. This level includes membership for two adults and their dependents younger than 25 years old, all of whom must live together. Lifetime Membership - A single dues payment of $1,000.00 will give you a lifetime membership in the A.C.A.
Payment options
I will mail a check for my dues. I will use PayPal for payment (a payment fee will be added). You do not need to have a PayPal membership to use this service. I will bring a check in person to a meeting.
