Dan Barker to speak at UTNovember 11, 2009 Dan Barker, former minister and current co-president of the Freedom from Religion Foundation, will present "Godless: How An Evangelical Preacher Became One of America's Leading Atheists" on Monday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m. in Mezes 1.306 on the UT campus.This event is free and open to the public. The Atheist Longhorns will be selling copies of Dan's latest book, "Godless", for $15 (cash only). Dan will be signing copies after his speech. |

From the officers: The ACA Lecture Series continues Sunday, September 12th, 12:15pm at the Austin History Center. Dr. James Dee will speak on "The Second Wave of Secular Humanism: How Scholarship Undermines Religion" From the officers: The next ACA Board Meeting will be Sunday, Sept. 12th after the lecture at Dog & Duck Pub. Members are encouraged to attend. The 2010 ACA Bat Cruise is slated for Saturday, September 25th, 6-8pm. Get your payment in early to reserve your place at this popular event. The 2010 Voters' Guide project has been launched. Questionnaires were sent to 455 candidates on September 7th. The NonProphets radio program is on hiatus until late September. |
