2007 Keep Austin Beautiful Adopt-a-Street Program

The ACA is participating in the Keep Austin Beautiful Adopt-A-Street program. The program allows organizations to contribute to the community by keeping litter down on Austin streets in exchange for a KAB sign, bearing the organization's name. Our sign proudly proclaims a bit of Burnet road (between West Anderson Lane and Ohlen Road) for the Atheist Community of Austin. We are doing pick-up drives monthly. Photos from the various drives will be shown here.

Board Member Joe Zamecki spearheaded the initiative.

It appears that the KAB guys have a scrapbook of their own on Flikr. Check out the pictures they have for us.

The next Adopt-a-Street clean up will be May 17th at 11am.

Regular Sunday meetings and ACA board meetings have both been moved 30 minutes later. The regular Sunday meeting is at Romeo's, now starting 11:30am.
